What is Chestnut Center?
Chestnut is a non-profit center for women whose mission is to educate and inspire women to work well and with purpose in their profession. It offers programs for women of all ages and backgrounds. These programs are founded on the Christian understanding of the dignity of the human person and the importance of ordinary work.
OUR MISSION
To inspire and guide women primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond to work well with a sense of purpose in their everyday activities, and to help them thrive in their personal and professional relationships.
WHAT WE DO
Chestnut offers formational programs for women of all ages and backgrounds. These programs are founded on the Christian understanding of the dignity of the human person and the importance of ordinary work in the service of those around them and society at large.
OUR GUIDE
The Christian orientation of Chestnut Center is entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Roman Catholic Church. Founded in 1928 by St. Josemaría Escrivá, Opus Dei helps people seek holiness in their daily work and in their family and social life.
