Camp Golden Hills is a unique one-week program of character building, sports, recreation and the arts for girls entering 3-9th grade. In an environment of trust and adventure, it offers a well-rounded, well-organized, fast paced curriculum and the personal attention of a dedicated staff. The aim of the camp is to encourage and develop the virtues necessary for becoming a positive influence on family, friends and society.
It was a hot week, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. No matter the activity-- cooking, crafts, dance, sports, hikes, daily mass, campfires, elegant dinner, decades dance, kitchen and cabin clean-up-- all were done with sporting spirit and fun. The camp ended with a family mass, awards show, and reception on Saturday. CGH even raised money for the poor this year. Following Pope Francis’s call for the Year of Mercy, we sold sold camp T-shirts and donated the proceeds to Chestnut Center for their service activities.
40+ volunteers generously supplied their hard work and time to make camp happen. Our volunteer base included young professionals, college and high school students, camp alumni, parents, families, and friends. Thank you to all you made this year another great success!
