Is a film club for high school girls that is intended to provoke in-depth discussions on-thought provoking issues in a fun, nurturing, and relaxed setting.
Film is one of our society’s most influential and approachable artistic media. In each meeting, we will watch extended scenes from critically-appraised films as they relate to our monthly theme. Themes are selected based on their relevance to young women as future leaders in their social and professional fields.
We will consider how films communicate through color, sound, dialogue, and direction. We will discuss, evaluate, compare and contrast the messages the films present, and in doing so become more critical and literate consumers of media.
