Service Projects
Weekends TBA Chestnut organizes opportunities to serve the under privileged members of our community. Past activities have included providing meals for homeless families, visiting the sick and infirm, and preparing care packages for the homeless. Study Weekends
by request and the weekend before RRR During the weekend before RRR week, we make our space especially available for students who want a quiet place to study away from campus distractions. |
College Night
First and Third Wednesdays 7-8pm Wednesday Nights for College Students are geared towards fostering the spiritual and personal growth of college women. On the First Wednesday of the month, there is a spiritual meditation (a period of 30 minutes of guided mental prayer in our chapel). On the Third Wednesday of the month there is a class on some aspect of Catholic doctrine. A priest is always available for confession afterwards. The evening ends with a get together. "Open House" Meditation
Fourth Wednesdays of the Month 7:45-8:15 PM This meditation is open to both college students and young professionals at a slightly later time to accommodate work schedules. This also makes it a good opportunity to invite new friends to the center. A priest is always available for confession after the meditation, and the evening ends with a get together. |
Evening of Recollection
Second Wednesdays of the Month 7-9 PM A Recollection is a time to pray and reflect on one's hopes and ambitions. There is a priest who gives talks on specific virtues and the college and young professional women have a chance to go for confession or spiritual direction. |
